Description

A live production of The Nightmare Before Christmas was staged over three nights this Halloween to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original release. Halsey initially signed on to take on the role of Sally, before quietly cancelling the performances due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Walt Disney Classics children's trailer from 1995 with clips of "Mary Poppins", "Alice in Wonderland", "Dumbo", "Robin Hood" and "The Sword in the Stone".

Ed Ivory as Santa Claus, the leader of Christmas Town. Santa Claus is responsible for the annual celebration of Christmas, at which time he delivers presents to children around the world. Ivory also does the brief narration at the start of the film. Stretching Room merchandise replacing Haunted Mansion characters with those of the Nightmare Before Christmas show the snake replacing the alligator with Sally replacing Sally Slater. The snake greatly resembles the "Sandworms" from Tim Burton's 1988 dark-comedy Beetlejuice. The film's sandworms are aliens from Saturn which devour ghosts who are transported to the planet by paranormal means. Well if I'm feelin' antsy, and I've nothin' much to do, I might just cook a special batch of snake and spider stew. And don't you know the one thing that would make it work so nice? A roly-poly Sandy Claws to add a little spice!"

One of the only names marked as, "Naughty" in the snake's list is that of Tim B. This is an easter-egg for The Nightmare Before Christmas' creator Tim Burton. The snake appears in the attic sequence where it is sprawled across the entirety of the attic. It is seen in-person in the end of the sequence replacing the Bride where it is seen devouring a giant Naughty or Nice list.

Disney Videos children's trailer from 1995 with clips of "Aladdin's Arabian Adventures", "Winnie the Pooh", "Disney's Sing-Along Songs" and "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Early Adventures". The film's Sandworms are inspired by the Sandworms from the 1965 science-fiction novel Dune by Frank Herbert which are giant monsters that, "swim" through the sand under the planet of Arrakis. Their larvae create a prized narcotic known as Melange or, "The Spice". Another one of the names marked as naughty is Vincent. This is likely an allusion to Tim Burton's 1982 stop-motion short-film Vincent which was made during his time at Disney and was later released to DVD alongside the Nightmare Before Christmas. It could also possibly be an allusion to late actor Vincent Price who was friends with Burton and appeared in some of his films (including the aforementioned Vincent of which he was the namesake). Vincent Price was even originally set to be the voice-actor of Santa Claus in The Nightmare Before Christmas before turning over the job due to suffering from melancholy as a result of the then-recent death of his wife. Glenn Shadix as Mayor of Halloween Town, an enthusiastic leader who conducts town meetings. His wild mood swings from happy to distraught cause his head to spin between a "happy" and "sad" face; where some career politicians are figuratively two-faced, the Mayor is literally so. Burton and Shadix previously worked on Beetlejuice. The idea of Sandworms might come from the real-life cryptid known as the Mongolian Death-Worm, an intestine-like creature that, "swims" in sand and is highly toxic. In reality this was a mistranslation as the Mongolian words for, "worm" and, "snake" is the same and the local descriptions of the Mongolian Death-Worm (or Large Intestine Worm as they call it) were actually describing the venomous Tartar Sand Boa.
