Just plug it into your camera’s microphone input and you are ready to go.From my experience with focusrite boxes, sm58's and USB mics, I prefer xlr mics over the usb mics for desktop setups because many usb mics break after afew years, while a sm58 is very unlikely to go wrong. Also only one usb mic can be used at a time. I have a feeling with kids this will result in destroyed and lost mics… supposedly inteference is likely to be a problem too. Setup is also more complicated

Leaning towards the Videomic NTG or MKE 600, but wondering if i should stretch and get the NTG5 instead... Alright so for the price of this mic I love it, didn’t break my ban and I needed a mic, it’s fire, I only have 2 downsides to it tho… the shoe mount that’s holding it is a little wobbly like a lot and i use it for my M50 and it’s a Vlog camera and when it wobbles when I walk I look at it because it distracts me
