As well as motoring, Clarkson has produced programmes and books on subjects such as history and engineering. However, it doesn't get a higher rating as it was too breezy at times and he was a bit too controversial in parts. Jeremy takes us back to another year of life as a gentleman farmer at Diddly Squat - what could possibly go wrong this time?

Once again, I have thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining narrative, feeling like I was learning along the way. That is right – it is time for another riotous trip to Diddly Squat Farm with farmer-in-progress Jeremy Clarkson.I read this in 24hrs ahah, it’s a collection of his Sunday Times columns on the trials and tribulations of farming.

Dlatego długość książek o diddly squad jest idealna- jest fajnie, nie zdążymy się zmęczyć satyrą, a bawimy się dobrze. In the first Diddly Squat book he was critical of local councillors, and here he continues this theme, and he tells how he thinks freemasonry plays a part in many planning decisions. The book is essentially a journal, so it both starts and ends incredibly abruptly - like Clarkson both ran out of things to say and also got bored of writing at all. It's easier to get planning permission to build a nuclear plant than to turn a barn into a restaurant? Since the mid-1990s Clarkson has become a recognised public personality, regularly appearing on British television presenting his own shows and appearing as a guest on other shows. It’s easy to read, because it is meant for newspaper readers to have something interesting and entertaining to accompany their coffee and bagel (or Sunday Lunch). So, while he is the first to admit that he is still only a ‘trainee farmer’, he clearly still has work to do. Or that it would have been easier to get planning permission to build a nuclear power station than to turn an old barn into a farm restaurant? So, while he's the first to admit that he's still only a 'trainee farmer'*, there is clearly still work to be done.
