The Firefly board game is marking its 10th anniversary with a collector’s edition that packs in everything ever released for the board game, plus a new expansion and some fancy upgrades to its components. Two new Set Up Cards also change how any game is played, one will make sure you and yours keeps flyin’ while the other one will insure that Alliance is always on High Alert. I’m skipping plenty of details here, of course, but in general we all found this to be a very good time. I think people who either haven’t seen or just don’t like Firefly aren’t going to be as excited about this game as Browncoats will be.

For example, the one where you have to steal the Crown Jewels where cash means nothing and having a balanced crew (or having to change your crew three times! The Alliance and Reaver ships are non-player antagonists that other players get to maneuver and position to inconvenience or threaten you in your travels. Each removable card tray is stackable, with a draw and discard slot, allowing you to play the game right out of the organizer. Like any game I haven’t picked-up in a while I was bound to get some rules wrong, or I needed to have a good read thus slowing the first play through down a little.

Firefly Misbehavin’ is a game for 2-4 players set in the Firefly ‘Verse where each player will take on the role of a faction. To start things off we are putting up the job file for Dockside Unrest, this job is included in the Respectable Folk expansion set, which is on sale now, but can be played with just the base game. They say it is a fantastic product, very true to the Firefly universe and the feel of the show, and it is lots of fun. There is also a greater chance of someone starting to fly to start a job early, putting pressure on everyone else to wrap up their mining and get started with working contracts.
