About this deal

after the bed is "leveled" add some tight silicone tubing (R/C fuel tubing) under the adjusting wheels to keep them tight. It’s also worth noting that, to add a 5015 fan, you’ll need to 3D print a printhead mount for the Ender 2 Pro. Here, the smaller print size works in your favor – a smaller bed is often easier to get properly aligned. In my day job I have designed similar packaging and I know how much time goes into creating a good solution, so credit to the team at Creality. There are much stronger yellow springs and silicon socks that fit right into it (see picture) and make it much easier to keep level.

Plastic extruders are known to wear down significantly after a few months of printing, and this can cause issues to arise around the printer’s extrusion.I have an Aquila C2, so understanding the basics was easier to put together and do a basic level z Axis etc.

Creality are not honoring the spirit or the law with the open source Marlin firmware that they supply with the printer, they should make their customizations open. The knobs are much smaller than those on other Creality printers, and require minute movements when making adjustments. You can print lower temperature filaments like PLA and PETG without issues but I recommend not going past 240C because the PTFE tube will start to degrade and start to release harmful fumes. On top of making it annoying to level the printer, weak springs also mean that the bed won’t stay level for long.Alternatively, you can add ABL to your Ender 2 Pro with a BLTouch sensor and this slightly different 3D printed mount. The printer has a plastic base but the frame is made from aluminum extrusions similar to those used on larger Creality machines. The Ender-2 uses micro SD cards for the print files, I find micro SD cards just too small and fiddly, they get lost and always need an adapter to go into the PC.

To level (or tram) the print surface, first home the printer, then select “disable steppers” from the Motion Menu. All these measurements were taken with a Blitzwolf smart power socket which indicates the power draw, and it can also be used for remotely powering on and off the printer. Heat the hotbed to 60~70 degrees Celsius, and then shovel a little bit from the edge with a spatula. This produced a really great Benchy, with the only flaw being a highly visible Z seam on the port side of the hull. But as the Ender 2 Pro’s printhead is only supported by one Z-axis rail, we don’t suggest the last option because adding any more weight to the printhead could make it sag.The soft magnetic sticker/carbon-silicon crystal glass is smooth and non-stick, try to apply solid glue evenly on the glass plate/or stick a layer of masking tape before printing. Considering the screen type, you could have a lot more Marlin features enabled, like the filament change I previously mentioned. For my first print, I loaded the provided sample PLA and selected the pre-sliced rabbit from the microSD card. It was also a bit of a problem to keep the model on the work surface - I was helped by increasing the temperature from 200 to 210 degrees and, to be sure, a spray designed for this.
