Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly. From the amazing characters to the suspense, this was exciting, entertaining, intense, and all kinds of sexy.
Now I am not going to tell you any more about this book because I went into it pretty cold and let me tell you. It was darker, more angsty, there was some drama and suspense, and the story took place mainly in winter. Did somebody say, Grumpy/Sunshine, small town, and a lingering suspicion that something is afoot with Sunshine/Feisty lead?And of course you have the whole scary villain character and story line Remi is all secretive about. It made me think that it would be a cheap summer / holiday romance and it wouldn’t be my cuppa, but that was not the case. Not many authors that I’ve read can capture this level of intensity without it feeling overdone or contrived.
