About this deal

Just looking at this game and you know instantly that it is a game that you aren’t going to struggle with, and I think that is truly key in encouraging new people to the hobby. This is great, as the likelihood of drinking being involved when playing with adults is (in my experience) pretty damn high. You and your fellow donut lovers want to eat as many donuts as you can, but there is no sharing with these donuts. If a card you have won is an action card, then the effects are resolved as soon as it is placed in front of you.

Getting to play with all the cards can make for a “better” experience, as long as you can tolerate the take that and the chaos that ensues with a larger group. The first thing you will need to do is take the deck of donut cards and separate them into different coloured cards. With a player count up to six and the fact that young, inexperienced players can be competitive, it will be great for holiday gatherings. Action card powers only activate when taken from the donut row, not when the card is taken from the discard pile, drawn from the deck, or taken from another player.com so even if you are hesitant if the game is right for your family, it’s a reasonably cheap game to add to your game night. These have got to be some of the cutest looking cards and pieces that I’ve seen since Sushi Go Party.

The more players that play, the more interaction there is between players and the more chaos there is. The donut cards offer a nice variety in the game play, allowing players to choose their strategy as they see fit. The rulebook is excellent and has a very helpful donut guide inside with pictures and explanations of each of the different cards. Sometimes you’ll pick the same card that another player chose which means that neither one of you get a card that time.Go Nuts for Donuts features cutely drawn food, easy to learn mechanics, and more set collection goodness. While it’s probably not going to replace Sushi Go Party in my collection, I will be keeping it around for those times when I want a somewhat “meaner” game.

The game does scale well at all player counts and it goes up to six, making it good for larger groups. Now that Go Nuts for Donuts is set up, which will take you less time than actually reading through what I have written so far, it is time to play! Dad: I enjoy the easiness of picking up the game and being able to play, no matter what your skill or experience level is in gaming. If you’re the only player that bid for the donut, than you take it and place it face up in front of you. Some cards are worth negative points at the end of the game, but may have provided a beneficial special power during the game. In Go Nuts for Donuts, players lay out donuts from the deck equal to the amount of players plus one.
