The scenarios are varied and do a good job showing off the fun parts of Massive Darkness 2: enemies, bosses, items, and hero abilities. Alongside social media posts showing the trailer itself, it’s fair to say very little is given away at this stage. During the hero phase, players take 3 actions, usually moving, attacking, and interacting with an objective (resting is for the weak).Moreover, the loot isn’t as specialized as other games, so even if a warrior draws a wizard’s staff, he can still make decent use of it. Each of the scenarios in the book will challenge players in different ways, testing their mettle against the enemies run by the game itself.
