David Shrigley has had solo exhibitions in museum worldwide and his works are found in prominent collections, including Museum of Modern Art (New York), Tate Britain (London), the National Gallery of Denmark (Copenhagen), amongst many others. In 2016, he was awarded the Fourth Plinth Commission for sculpture in Trafalgar Square and was nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize Award in 2013. Most notably, in 2013 he was nominated for the Turner Prize, following his major mid-career retrospective at the Hayward Gallery, London entitled ‘Brain Activity'.Shrigley has had several notable solo exhibitions for his iconic visual art, including "David Shrigley" at Dundee Contemporary Arts (2006), "Everything Must Have a Name" at the Malmo Konsthall in Sweden (2007), an exhibition at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead (2008), the Museum Ludwig in Cologne (2008), "New Powers" at the Kunsthalle Mainz in Germany (2009), the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow (2010) and "Animate" at the Turku Art Museum in Finland (2011). Shrigley is collected by the Stephen Friedman Gallery (London), Anton Kern Gallery (New York), the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Tate (London) and the Royal Academy of Arts (London) among other institutions. Not every interior allows for large David Shrigley prints and multiples, so small editions measuring 5 inches across are available. Since first collaborating with Third Drawer Down Studio in 2007, Shrigley's works have remained a favourite for their humorous angst and cynicism about the disappointments of everyday life.

These posters were first made in collaboration with Arken Museum, Ishøj, Denmark, on the occasion of the exhibition Animals in Art in 2020. He took the Art and Design Foundation course at Leicester Polytechnic in 1987, moving on to study environmental art at Glasgow School of Art in 1988, where he remained until 1991.
