About this deal

It features four young artists and explorers – Leo, Quincy, Annie and June – as they fly around in their rocket ship to learn about music and history. This DVD came on 2011 for a Special Edition, the bonus episode is now "Goofy on Mars" in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse instead of 2 short episodes about Safety Patrol.

Coincidentally, all three episodes have the team flying super fast with Quincy and June's eyes open. While this episode isn't typical Little Einstein fare, it makes sense that it comes on this DVD because of its connection to the last episode. There's still a wealth of knowledge to be found here, and exposing young ones to geography and the fine arts is important, especially when done as tactfully as seen here. As an educational show for kids, “Little Einsteins” and the new release of “Race for Space” covers multiple subject areas, not just the arts. Lou and Lou: Safety Patrol are fun and entertaining but actually have good messages for kids about safety while riding bikes and traveling in cars.

In the case of this DVD collection, Little Einsteins: Race For Space, we have one new, never-before-seen on television episode, The Treasure Behind the Little Red Door and two that were previously aired, Super Fast! I would think that if Disney were going to release a space-themed DVD containing old episodes, they would at least include Galactic Goodnight. We had expected that it would be about the little Einsteins traveling from planet to planet, learning about each one. Three episodes doesn't seem exactly like a disk-full, even though there are two episodes of Lou and Lou: Safety Patrol included as bonus features.Only with your help, journey with the Little Einsteins as they zoom to outer space on their most thrilling voyage ever! Based on the product description, I was under the impression that this was a new one-hour movie, but it is not. His antics give some needed conflict to the proceedings, and some of the tricks pulled by him could actually put the children in true danger.

Luckily for the Little Einsteins, Rocket's enabled with boat, train, and pogo stick modes that can still help win the race. In The Treasure Behind the Little Red Door, the kids are off on a treasure hunt and you might have guessed that the treasure is firmly lodged behind. Kids will get into the special features and love the episodes but it would have been nice to see at least one more episode included. As a teacher and parent, I feel great knowing that not only are my girl entertained, but they are hearing classical music pieces as well as viewing beautiful works of art.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Let me tell you, if I knew that there was only one new episode on this DVD I never would have wasted my money on it.
