I really wanted to dislike this book because damn was Cassidy annoying, but for the life of me I couldn’t. This was such an emotional read that I'm going to need to take step back before reading Bronson's story, because if it's as emotional and heartbreaking and beautiful as Max and Cassidy's story, then I'm going to need to prepare myself. This was just a all around enjoyable Aussie Mafia Romance and I will be continuing the series I’m rather intrigued where things are going. Book 1 is solely from Cassidys POV and then Book 2 from duel POV of both Cassidy and Max which I love to see. she couldn’t even resist ONE day in the fucking resort (where he had no intentions to get on her good side) before jumping back into this toxic douche with no personality other than wanting to “protect her innocence”. Their background, style, and influences often shine through in their writing, making each book a unique experience. If you enjoy authors who can bring several different emotions to you, I highly suggest you read this one! For those that read Facing Us first, will appreciate the connection to this book and the backstory you got from that.Max the brooding gentle giant but only to Cassidy and the flirty silly Cassidy who is such a sweetheart.

Nobody seems to think Max and Cassidy are a good idea (including Max) But Cassidy believes in them and will do whatever it takes to show everyone they belong together. This book was all kinds of wonderful, beautiful, heartbreaking, tear jerking, breath stopping amazingness.But he’s so gentle with Cassidy there are some areas where you can see when Cassidy grabs onto some of max ‘s darkness. This book is also available on Audio by the amazing Georgia Hart who does an exceptional job bringing Cassidy to life! This is Cassidy Slater and Max Butchers story Cassidy is the baby Sister of Konnor and Max is a key player in the district. More secrets were revealed in this story and I'm pleased to know that some part of this story got resolved.
