First run out with the new car, crappy range again. Im leaning towards the futaba 3pv at the moment. Futaba do a 2 channel reciever for 25 quid which seems like a fair price. Its not on the compatability chart, which is annoying, but it seems like it should work with the 3pv.With incorporated gyroscopes in the FSBS line of receivers you can utilize the built in SVC feature in the GT5. SVC is FlySky’s version of traction control. When properly configured the SVC function will keep your vehicle going in your desired direction by slightly altering the throttle and the steering.

Are you using the gyro for drifting, or to stabilise normal racing / bashing? I have only ever used a gyro for drifting. For this you need to set a negative gain. This means the car will try to turn into a skid when it oversteers. I'm not really sure what the purpose is of positive gyro settings or how they are implemented during normal driving.With 20 model memory, crawling mode, SVC mode and the extra functions you expect from a modern radio, the FS-GT5 is all the radio you will ever need for all your surface models. I bought two new Rxs as they were cheap enough, and all seemed ok-ish. the range was much improved, but the symptoms i get just before it loses range all together is a delay in response. both steering and throttle. this still did happen, closer than i would expect, but it didnt really cause me too much issues bashing. SUBTRIM allows you to move the centre point of the servo without adjusting the endpoints that were adjusted with your EPA. If you were to use regular trim the endpoints would move as well. Personally I'd get the Flysky GT5 or Radiolink if I was after a new basher radio. I think the GT5 looks nicer.
