There is a wide variety of items from daily amenities like food, clothing, and toothbrushes to more various items like swords, buildings, and even electronics from Yuki’s original world. Items that can reasonably exist in the new world are less expensive than more sophisticated items like video game systems. Living Structure Monster: "Dungeons" are living beings, and they bond symbiotically with a "Demon Lord."

There's the main character, who's kind of a geek and an overall decent guy. He makes video game references (e.g. Minecraft, Dark Souls), does whatever he wants instead of bitching about morals all the time, and treats his monster waifus more like a family than a harem. In a word, he's pretty normal. Humans Are Insects: When he's asked why he was giving an invading human army fair warning instead of simply slaughtering them, he equated the humans to insects. In truth, he thinks the invading human army was weaker than insects, and when comparing to the insects in Haunted Forest, he's right.Secretly Selfish: Although he would adamantly insist otherwise, he is heroic in word, act, and mindset, but he internally admits that he does heroic things purely because he either benefits from doing so or actively enjoys it. This does not stop him from being an Ideal Hero. Never My Fault: When evidence of his crimes is brought before him, he tries to weasel out with all sorts of excuses, and even asks Jaynor for help, teary eyed, saying he's done nothing wrong. Jaynor drops him like a hot potato in return. Showy Invincible Hero: Invoked. Not only is it extremely gratifying to watch him obliterate armies of enemies like they're nothing, he goes out of his way to make sure this is the case. Anguished Declaration of Love: Immediately after Yuki saved her life, just before she fell unconscious, she blurts out "I love.." and passed out. Yuki turns in the direction of the fiends involved in harming her, and unleashed literal nightmare fuel upon all of them. I'm Not a Hero, I'm...: He hates "heroes", especially those who boast of their selflessness, and pointedly does not want to be one.

Famed In-Story: When agents from the Demon King faction call on Yuki and see she's his maid, they're stunned, and indicate she's a celebrity in Demon lands.Mistaken for Pedophile: While Yuki is something of a pedo - he's very attracted to Lefi and eventually marries her - girls as young as Illuna are outside his strike range. Yet every time he meets one, Lefi, Leila and Lyuu instantly assume the worst. Nonchalant Dodge: Dodges a sword that Yuki throws at him, and the chair he's sitting in, just by moving his head slightly to the side, not even breaking his posture. Power Incontinence: Her power level is so great, that when she aids Nell to deal with a Zombie Apocalypse, her weakest spells destroyed two houses, one by fire, and the other by flood. Unstoppable Rage: Yuki is usually pretty chill. When he gets pissed, he gets pissed, and he won't stop until he's physically restrained, or his targets are dead. Plausible Deniability: He had Argus strung along so well that the latter never realized that all the dirty work had his signature on it, leaving no evidence of Jaynor's involvement, until it was too late.

Reasonable Authority Figure: He, wisely, was willing to overlook the invasion and temporary occupation of Alyford because the targets were all members of a criminal organization, and unlike his son, knew full well that said organization were the actual aggressors. Not to mention, he knows full well that antagonizing Haunted Forest will easily bring the doom of his nation.

Tastes Like Friendship: He "tames" Leficious, the Supreme Dragon, by offering her chocolate and other sweets that wouldn't otherwise be obtainable in this world. Following the battle with Dragon Lord Girodio, Yuki augmented Zaien with one of Lefi's fangs. Thus becoming akin to the daughter of both the Demon Lord and Supreme Dragon. En and Leila accompanied Yuki on his visit to the Demon World. En kept women from seducing him. En joined Yuki and Nell on their trip to the capital but stayed in Yuki's item box most of the time to give the couple some alone time. As the light novel the Now I’m a Demon Lord! Happily Ever After with Monster Girls in My Dungeon manga series is based on was one of the highlights of my summer last year, I am looking forward to seeing these cute characters in visual form.Engineered Heroics: The cornerstone of his plans was discrediting Nell by engineering crises and then swooping in to "solve" them. He does this, twice. Once by having an agent provoke a swarm of monsters and then have said monsters descend upon a town where Nell had to cross to reach the capital and then blame Nell for the resulting casualties. Not only did Nell (and Yuki) completely curbstomp the massive monster army, but they exposed the agent. Said agent wound up left to the the mercy of the monster survivors. Then again, in the royal capital, he has his men instigate a riot while Nell and Yuuki were in a ball with the king, swooping in at the last possible moment, trying to discredit Nell by showing that even though she was present, she didn't do squat. Yuki, having several recording devices in his mansion not only scuppered his plans, but brought hard evidence against him forward to the ball, and exposed his crimes to all the other nobility, including the king. Becoming his main weapon, Zayn was able to telepathically communicate with Yuki through its will and intentions. Happiness, loneliness, and competitiveness were all emotions that it was able to pass. It was only after a fight against the Manticore that Zaien was able to manifest a more sentient consciousness enough to humanize and begin interacting with the rest of the dungeon. The happily ever after translates to a playground/summer camp setting of board games and game center games in another world, by a reincarnated into a Demon Lord exJapanese man. The great number of Lolis around a grown man makes me kind of cringe, but the story about playing games and having fun together, is just a slice of life (vacation life) in this other world.
