Both have stumbled into a trap set by an unsuspected third agency… That was because Onweh’s obsession over growing a perfect pearl, which he called the Spray of Dawn, was destroying the familial business.

Monya is a fourteen-year-old time traveler from 3872, whom Yoko meets during the events described in La Spirale du temps. After changing history during this adventure, Monya is unable to return to her native time. She is adopted by Yoko's cousin and the two girls become fast friends. With the help of Monya's time machine, the translateur, Yoko and her friends undertake several time-travelling adventures.

When visiting the planet of Ixo, a team of Vineans deploy a vehicle that uses an energy beam to reshape the terrain so it will facilitate the passing of other ground vehicles. It's multi-crewed and the process is slow. Khany calls it a waste of time and energy. She and Yoko simply use air vehicles to fly ahead. Her father is also admired for his achievements among Japanese engineers and scientists.They will usually and correctly assume that his daughter must be a person they can trust. Yoko is employed as a secretary by Kazuki, who is striking a deal with some German businessmen; a plot ensues which involves androids, the luxury train Rheingold Express, and nuclear warheads. Ensimmäinen Yoko Tsuno -seikkailu ilmestyi belgialaisen Spirou-lehden sivuilla syyskuussa 1970 ja ensimmäinen täyspitkä albumi julkaistiin 1972. Suomessa Yoko Tsuno aloitti seikkailunsa legendaarisessa Ruutu-lehdessä vuonna 1974. Vuonna 1988 Semic lanseerasi Yoko Tsuno -albumien sarjan, jota Egmont on sittemmin jatkanut. Kaiken kaikkiaan sarjassa on ilmestynyt suomeksi jo 23 albumia.

Yoko’s cases include explosive exploits in exotic corners of our world, sinister deep-space sagas and even time-travelling jaunts. There are 30 European albums to date but only 16 translated into English thus far, and – ironically – none of them digitally. The space and aliens stuff is primarily done with Yoko’s friend Khâny, from the planet Veneya.This article will have a primer about it. Yoko and friends discover the remains of the Vinean colony Ultima, now inhabited by a race who believes in technologically forced reincarnation. Queen Hegora suffers from a severe case of this. Much later, the queen keeps Yoko hostage in a submari The Hummingbird can jettison its engines to become a glider.There is even a vehicular parachute so it can land on a dime in glider mode.It is a two-seater, but one doubts that the combined weight of the passengers can exceed 120kg or so.The Kolibri has two underwing pylons, usually bearing fuel tanks for long flights.

The Trio of the Uncanny

Yoko Tsunoon on helppo iskeä älykkö-scifin leima ja sarja kantaa sitä ylpeänä. Sarjan päähenkilö Yoko Tsuno on naispuolinen japanilainen sähkötekniikan insinööri, jonka seikkailut vievät Euroopasta Aasiaan ja jopa ulkoavaruuteen asti. Hurjissa seikkailuissa ovat mukana myös Yoko Tsunon ystävät Vic Video ja Pol Pitron sekä muut hahmot. Yoko Tsunon 22. suomenkielinen albumi Odinin tuli ilmestyi 30.8.2019. Uuden seikkailun alkuperäinen eli ranskankielinen nimi on " Le feu de Wotan". Tällä kertaa seikkaillaan Saksassa ja Bretagnen rannikolla. Yokolle ja hänen ystävilleen seikkailut Saksassa ovat tulleet tutuksi jo aiemmin esimerkiksi albumeissa Reinin kulta ja Paholaisen urut, mutta nyt odottavatkin aivat uudet haasteet. Khany is a member of the extraterrestrial race of Vineans, who left their planet when it faced destruction by its twin suns and erected secret subterranean colonies on various habitable planets, including Earth. As of the end of La Forge de Vulcain and the fall of Karpan's leadership, she is also their undeclared leader who directs the return of the Vineans from Earth to Vinea. She is also undertaking expeditions to find lost Vinean colonies. Like Vic, she is quite careful in her actions. Khany appears in Le Trio de l'étrange, La Forge de Vulcain, Les Trois soleils de Vinéa, Les Titans, La Lumière d'Ixo, Les Archanges de Vinéa, Les Exilés de Kifa, La Porte des âmes, La Servante de Lucifer and Le Secret de Khâny.
