About this deal

My brother needed a new monitor and decided on this one. He wanted a 27" monitor because his old monitors where always small (22 inch or smaller). We debated between the smaller version of this monitor and the 1440p version due to Pixel Per Inch (PPI) concerns. We are aware of the concerns some people have about the low PPI of 1080p resolution on a 27" monitor but I think it boils down to personal preference. I have a 1440p 27" monitor so my brother was able to see the difference between the two resolutions and he says he has no desire to switch to a 1440p monitor after seeing the difference. I don't have an Nvidia GPU so I don't know if you have to manually enable 10 bit after this, if you have an AMD card open the Radeon Software -> Display-> Color Depth and make sure that it's 10bit (if you want to use it for games go into Games -> Global Graphics -> Advanced -> ENABLE 10 bit Pixel Format. Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. HDR Capabilities: The HDR10 support enhances contrast and color accuracy, making games and media content appear more lifelike. From my experience a decent amount of overshoot can be easily hidden by the BFI duration, with Dyac Premium the only important part of each transition is the last 17% of a 4.17ms window, so if you overshoot at 50% and stabilize the transition at 75% you will not see any overshoot.

Now take the best from OD60 and OD80 and you'll get OD120, it is something in between these two overdrives, the perfect sweet spot, there is no ghosting regardless of the speed of the ufo(I generally test at 1440pps to make sure that fast transitions are inside the 240hz window) and the amount of overshoot is noticeably lower than with OD80. It's clear that Benq designs overdrives to be used specifically with Dyac but I honestly can't really see any overshoot with either AMA High or Premium and Dyac OFF when playing at 240hz unless I use a 240/480fps camera or I look closely at an ufotest. They went a bit conservative on it as I prefer it a few notches higher up with DyAc on (but the two settings are perfect with Dyac off). You may have to move it up or down 1 to get it to read correctly, as I found it doesn't always register the correct ORIGINAL value the very first time you change it on a profile!

Keep the thread civil with constructive informations and feel free to share everything, from 280hz windows/game implementation to more technical informations. I wonder how you don't see any overshoot, I can see A LOT of overshoot on both AMA High and Premium, clearly visible in UFO Test, basically the same as shown in Bijan Jamshidi's review. Is there something I am missing? Do you tweak it somehow? When I equalized all the values, setting Brightness to 100 for High and Premium, setting Area to 0 and Intensity to 20 (most blur reduction/dimmest picture=25), and verified that the firmware saved all the settings for each DyAc independently, I saw that Premium + 50% brightness was the same brightness as High + 100% brightness. To preserve my own mental sanity, I did *NOT* test this with Intensity=1. Approximate width of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio.

Note that any profile has a different OSD Brightness and Area and Intensity setting for each DyAc setting (which can be saved to the S-switch) G-Sync and FreeSync Compatibility: This monitor supports both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync technologies, reducing screen tearing and ensuring tear-free, stutter-free gaming.
