About this deal

My only other oud perfumes are Gucci Intense Oud and Versace Oud Noir. I love them both with Gucci being my favourite. I would say both of them are several times better in every way, reflecting the several times higher price. Still though I enjoy the Ameer and shall definitely wear it. Seems reasonably strong but not crazily loud or in your face. To start off I want to go ahead and mention that Ameer Al Oudh smells nothing similar to 24 Gold of Scentstory. It's Ameer's sister Raghba which is the one who smells similar to 24 Gold.

Today it’s freezing and snowing in England and I was going out and needed to walk a mile or 2 and I was looking for a scent to spray and my eyes went to this so o thought I’d give it another chance and sprayed 8 sprays on body and clothes . It's scent is Middle Eastern incense and spices. This has a large projection and if you walk into a room wearing it people are going to start looking around wondering if someone is burning incense. I understand the comparisons to by the fireplace, but at the same time this fragrance is different too. Wearing this I dont think people will think you are wearing it. The notes of by the fireplace are more distinctive and clear, changing place as the most prominent node through the duration of the fragrance. Smell once? You get pepper. Next time smoke. Then vanilla. Then spices. Oops there's the pepper again. Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oudh smells the same, but melded into a single fragrance. No pepper at all though, probably misses a few other notes too. If anything, it does conjure the picture of a smoldering fireplace better than BTF does. But, BTF does smell higher quality.

Day 2- I have not smelled that cumin tinge I smelled at the initial spray. It seems a little less dusty/powdery and more sweet. Hoping it becomes even better after letting it sit a while. Growing on me :) Now here comes the challenging part: trying to give you a short solid review of this AMAZING fragrance. And oh boy does this develop! Like 15 minutes later I started getting the AMAZING woody sauna notes. It is such a gem! And it gets really close to By The Fireplace! I probably would not tell the difference with those two side by side! So if u can just ignore the opening of this fragrance (it's very ambery strong and something a little weird, reminded me of Bentley Intense lmao) then I 100% recommend atleast trying it. Absolute beast longevity wise too, good 8-10 hours out of this and the projection is perfect, not too loud, not a skin scent, just radiates around you in a little bubble.

However, I opine it's of the good synthetic smells; rounded, smooth and pleasing. Nothing chemical or off-putting about it to my nose. That review below was HILARIOUS! 😄 Anyway, Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud smells to me not similar, but reminds me of the best aspects of my two favorite Lattafa fragrances: Qaa'ed and Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends. Compliments: 8.0 (With an increasing number of people enjoying oriental woody sweet fragrances, I realy do think that this fragrance will please to a wide range of people of both genders; the number of compliments I received exceeded my expectations) Quality: 8.5 (Above average quality, good performance, quality ingredients, nice heavy flask, good sprayer) I had a 10ml decant of this for testing as for me MM fragrances are always hit or miss, I love some, I dislike others, none of them are in the middle. This is thankfully in my opinion not potentially cloying like it, but I find it even sweeter than Joop Homme, so know that if you tend to get nauseous or dizzy by overly sweet fragrances. This smells like you could drink it. I sprayed it on my hand and after about an hour, and washing my hands, the scent really smoothed out and a lot of the harsh incense smell went away and it took on a creamy smell very similar to Dolce & Gabbana The One. Bought this on a whim after looking at the notes I was not sold however, my friend who also loves fragrances says it’s actually quite nice. So I did buy it on the basis of if I don’t like it, it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t cost a lot.
