About this deal

The selling point of stainless steel is that it’s durable, food-grade, and (supposedly) corrosion-resistant, so it’s safer to carry water than any type of plastic and it should also last longer and be more resistant to drops and bumps. The AquaTru water filter dispenser removes over 80 contaminants, one of the highest among the water filters we tested, which earned it one of the top spots in our tests. We verified that it removes contaminants such as chlorine, heavy metals like lead, VOCs, pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors and more. In addition, it removes over 90% of fluoride, which some may prefer removed while others may not. This is where a water filter comes in to solve your problems. By removing all sorts of contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals, chemicals, and chlorine, a water filter provides better smelling and better-tasting drinking water.

Nope, you’ll be still getting all your nutrients. That said, if you’re travelling somewhere water needs a filter, it’s a good idea to drink water with the electrolyte powder added on occasion just to ensure your body is still getting the best. Value for money is an obvious benefit of this stainless steel pitcher. It’s priced competitively, even while removing more contaminants than many other pitchers and having a superior stainless steel design. Most water filter pitchers remove chlorine to improve the taste of the water, which could also lead to a rise in bacteria in the filtered water. Larq solves this by using UV light to inhibit E. coli and Salmonellafrom building up in the water due to chlorine removal. It filters over 45 contaminants such as microplastics, heavy metals, VOCs, endocrine disruptors PFOA and PFOS, pharmaceuticals and more, which we verified through a review of third-party test data. It has a rechargeable removable wand that powers the UV light, which is visible as the water filters through. The Invigorated Water pitcher is a good choice if you’re specifically looking for a stainless steel water pitcher that removes common tap water contaminants and enhances the water to boost its alkalinity, mineral content, and pH. Large Capacity: The sleek design of the pH Vitality water pitcher is perfect for either on the go or for entertaining at home. And, it has a surprisingly large water capacity. The stainless steel water filterpitcher can store up to 1.9 litres, while its filter can serve up to 105 gallons throughout its lifetime. The very best, most capable systems could remove hundreds of contaminants, including bacteria, heavy metals, PFAS, fluoride, chromium, and chemicals like pesticides and herbicides. Some gravity water filters we tested could even mineralize water, and we made sure to share our review of the best filter in this category for folks looking for filtered, mineral-rich water. Flow rate With that in mind, finding a system with the fastest flow rate wasn’t a priority for us while ranking the top gravity water filter systems, but it was still important to us that filtered water was produced within a reasonable timeframe. Our results varied for the different filters we reviewed, but if we noticed the flow rate was exceptionally slow and couldn’t be fixed with troubleshooting, this was a dealbreaker for us. Portability We have previously included the Big Berkey in our stainless steel water purifier review, but given the carbon filters were taken off the market, we had to remove it from our list until they are available again. Recently the EPA decided to change the Berkey filter’s classification to a “pesticide”. Yes, you read that correctly. We think design is one of the standout features of the Invigorated Water pH Vitality Water Filter Pitcher. It has a modern look, with a sleek stainless steel pitcher and a wooden handle. We can find no mention of plastic, either, which suggests this is the only pitcher on this list to be actually made from stainless steel, rather than plastic with a steel overlay.

We used the Big+ to filter city and river water in Steamboat Springs, CO, and our results were overwhelmingly positive. Our initial city water sample contained contaminants including lead, copper, aluminum, fluoride, and manganese, as well as disinfection byproducts and other dissolved solids. The G2.0 filters removed 100% of the first 5 contaminants, and around 50% of disinfection byproducts. The filters also came through when it came to microbiological filtration, eliminating all bacteria in our natural water sample, including E. coli and total coliform. We’re only disappointed to see that the Big+ isn’t officially certified for its performance – it only has an official NSF certification for its component quality. Long Filter Life: After you connect it, the filter is able to handle 8,000 gallons of water before replacing. Disclaimer: I'm not a scientist. I'm a consumer, just like you. But we can read, and we have brains, so we can take the information that's available and try to make a reasonable choice. We found it easier to assemble the Clearly Filtered pitcher compared to the ProOne unit. There was less effort involved in the entire process, from attaching the components to priming the filters (which is fast and easy thanks to the included reusable priming bag).

Constructed of highly polished AISI high grade stainless steel 304'' that is one of the longest lasting and most expensive stainless steel on the market today that will last a lifetime. Glass – Yeah, I wouldn’t really recommend a glass water bottle with a filter. The perks? Well, it’s glass, I guess; drinking out of glass is nice.Stages of filtration –Like all ZeroWater pitchers, this stainless steel pitcher uses the ZeroWater Premium 5-Stage Water Filter, which treats water with a blend of 5 different filter media: an ion exchange resin, a coarse filter screen, a carbon and oxidation reduction alloy, a foam distributor, and an ultra-fine screen and non-woven membrane. Capacity-wise, the CF pitcher holds 80 ounces, or around 10 cups. So, for about every 1 refill of the larger ProOne unit, we had to fill the Clearly Filtered pitcher 5 times. We personally didn’t mind doing the refills since the pitcher is small and light enough for this to be easy – but if you have a very large family or need constant access to filtered water, any pitcher might be too small for you.

Stainless Steel – Tougher and stronger than plastic, a stainless steel filter water bottle will survive all the calamities of travel and is the optimal choice for clobbering someone. If you’re ever in the situation where you need to beat someone up with a water bottle, go for stainless steel. We have also included the Brita stainless steel water bottle in previous review, however, this year it was edged out by the Clearly Filtered. Perfect for on-the-go activities, the Brita stainless steel water bottle holds 32 oz of water. Additionally, it is an eco-friendly alternative to using hundreds of single-use plastic water bottles every year. Making the switch to a stainless steel water bottle will also save you a lot of money. Here’s the link to a very long paper about silver as a drinking water disinfectant, published by the WHO, if you care to read it: https://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/publications/silver-02032018.pdf?ua=1 According to the lab test results, the Alexapure is pretty much on par with Berkey and ProOne. It does a great job removing most contaminants, including fluoride and radioactive substances.
