You have a date?” Naomi shouted the question loud enough that all the men turned and stared at us. Lucian looked like he was about to set the world on fire with his dark smolder. You could probably read this as a standalone but you’d definitely be missing some pieces in my opinion. You first meet Nash in Things We Never Got Overand this continues his story. Her spice is good and there's a lot of it, but its not emotional? Is it just me? Its explicit and everything it should be but its never elicited much emotion from me. No idea why. nash morgan was the town's 'do good' police chief/golden boy who dreamed of getting married and having kids one day. but after the events in twngo, he's a shell of his former self. he doesn't feel much of anything until he sees that his new neighbor is his brother's mysterious ex, lina. lina runs from commitment at all costs but even she can't deny her attraction to nash no matter how wrong for each other they are. but, they might not even get their chance to make bad choices when loose ends from the past start haunting them again.

the first spooning scene 😅. I don't know how it all happened, how A got to B, but... I🔥WAS🔥HERE🔥FOR🔥IT!!!! It helped relieve some of the... um... tension I was feeling because of this slow burn 😉 But once Nash decides to make Lina his, he’s not about to be dissuaded…even if it means facing the danger that nearly ended him. Things We Hide From the Light: My Review Lui non é minimamente il suo tipo, Nash ha scritto sulla fronte ''matrimonio e bambini'' e lei schiva tutto ciò come fossero dei proiettili. Enters Angelina “Lina” Solavita, his brother Knox’s ex temporary girlfriend. Lina is moving next door to Nash, in town for her job. It’s a story about the past mixed with today and the results are one hot rich grump and just as hot Librarian and lots of laughs and snorts and antics of their friends and townsfolk’s from the previous stories. Also the continuing mystery throughout all 3 books involving our 3 Heroes comes to a conclusion, making this book one of my best reads all year And there was only a very tiny third act break up--as in it lasted like two minutes for them before they make up!! Hallelujah rejoice. So neither one did anything extremely stupid to cause some massive issue. Its so nice to read books where there aren’t ten chapters devoted to a breakup you know is going to get resolved and is just difficult to read. This book doesn't have that, and its amazing. But when Nash discovers Lina's secret these friends become furious enemies - though the sparks flying between them don't know the difference between love and hate.

Things We Hide From The Light: The Unforgettable Sequel To Things We Hide From The Light: The Unforgettable Sequel To

Their attraction is immediate but Nash is the marrying type whereas Lina is the “have a good time and leave them in the dust” kind of girl.Lina was his perfect match. She was kind of a badass, she had so many layers to her, making her the perfect person for Nash. the moments of levity. If I’m ever kidnapped, I hope to react the way Lina did 😅 I definitely giggled when I know I shouldn’t 🤣 Lina is his brother’s best friend and she recently came to town for reasons of her own – and she’s the only one who makes Nash feel different, feel alive again with just a simple touch. Whenever you’re close, everything is better. The closer you are, the easier I breathe, the less I feel like life is just a never-ending pour of lemon juice into an open wound that won’t heal. You take away the dark, the cold. And you remind me what it’s like to want to be here.”

Things We Hide From The Light: the Sunday Times bestseller

I also loved that this book is good boy bad girl. Nash is sooo sweet but also has this grumpy brooding thing going for him. And he would do ANYTHING for Lina. And Lina is so badass and independent which I love. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us comes a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance. i came here for the luciansloane crumbs and i was not disappointed at all, especially after that bonus epilogue!!! Okay so I read the first book and I had a pretty passionate review about it. My main qualm was these are adult characters acting like children (handling relationships and emotional drama very poorly). Well a year later I decided to read the second book because I was actually honestly curious how Nash and Lina would get together. I think a couple things that made this book better for me:i have a very strong instinct when it comes to certain characters and books in a series and how i feel about them. from the first interaction between Lucian and Sloane in Things We Never Got Over i knew they would be the couple for me in this series. so when Lucy announced that Things We Hide From the Light is actually about Nash (H) and Angelina (h), my excitement for them was lukewarm and that’s exactly how this book turned out to be. Lina’s (37) in town not only because Knox (book 1 H) asked her to be in his wedding since she’s one of closest friends, but because she’s also going after the man who shot Nash (41) in book 1, Duncan Hugo (she’s recovering an asset). But ironically Lina doesn’t like unsolicited physical touch or affection given her past and has no interest in a relationship. What I Loved About Things We Hide from the Light i love a little bit of small town suspense and the plot twists had me on the edge of my seat. this is a slow burn but the tension leading up to it is hottttt and the spice once the burn starts burning was delish.

Things We Hide From the Light by Lucy Score Book Review: Things We Hide From the Light by Lucy Score

i honestly wish i hated nash so that i can shit on him and have fun doing it. but i cant because i dont hate him, i dont care about him. he’s just so dull. boring. vanilla. no wait scratch that, vanilla has too much flavour. plain yogurt. thats what he is.But two bullets put a dent in his Southern charm and now he’s facing a criminal still on the loose and a town full of citizens that consider the law more of a ‘guideline’. The last thing he needs is the leggy, smart-mouthed Lina Solavita moving in next door, making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel. However, I was able to read an ARC which was kindly sent to me by Bloom Books. I also got to do a reveal for the cover and can I just say one thing? It was gorgeous and exactly the cover Nash’s story needed. And further down that discussion she said to Lucian:” You’re like a little kid showing off the terrible finger painting you did at school expecting me to be impressed. If I hang it on the refrigerator, will you go away?” You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something – even if it’s anger or adrenaline – is better than the nothing.” My most anticipated read of the year & I loved it! Lucy Score can do no wrong when it comes to Romance!
