Description

I began working on computers owned by immediate family members and relatives when I was around 10 years old. Fortunately, my brother already had an Apex M750 TKL that I borrowed for the day, and found that red switches suited me a lot better for me in terms of the typing experience. The HyperX provides a better typing experience, but its linear switches don't give tactile feedback, which the SteelSeries Brown switches do. Lastly, the Apex 7 TKL has individually lit RGB keys, while the Apex 3 TKL is limited to zone lighting.

The Obinslab is a compact (60%) keyboard that can be used wired or wirelessly and has a much lower wired latency. The keyboard is fully compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, but the software only works in Windows and macOS. Let’s kick off the list with our favorite keyboard from SteelSeries and work our way down to the worst. We've also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench.

We've added a link to the newly-reviewed 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard in the Dimensions section of this review. png', 'values': [{'option_slug': 'language', 'option_value_value': 'korean', 'option_value_label': 'Korean', 'option_value_title': 'Korean'}], 'url': '/gaming-accessories/keyboard-keycap-set? Unfortunately, it has significantly higher latency, and only the alphanumeric keys on the left side of the board are macro-programmable.However, the SteelSeries has more features, like an OLED screen, a volume wheel, a USB passthrough, and onboard memory.

All three switches for the Apex 7 TKL are rated by SteelSeries for a 2mm actuation point, so the perceived keypress depth ought not vary among the three switch types. These sizes should only be used as a guide, but we would love to hear your feedback on your own personal experience. It has excellent build quality, and the SteelSeries Brown switches on the unit we bought and tested are easy to press and provide good tactile feedback. Gamer Network Limited, Gateway House, 28 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DN, United Kingdom, registered under company number 03882481. I have been factory reset it, reinstalled Steelseries GG and re-enabled it in windows devise management. If you want the scroll wheel, macro keys, and media keys but don’t have the budget for the Apex 5 or 7, then I would recommend you get the Apex 3, otherwise the keyboard is just not worth it. The keys feel very light to type on, and it's unlikely to cause any fatigue if you're typing for an extended period of time. These are a standard linear mechanical keyswitch that's well-suited to gaming, with a snappy keypress, and with a standard MX-stem fixing, you can also swap keycaps out easily with a wide range of aftermarket options if the ones SteelSeries provide aren't for you.
